Round Up

Loose change really adds up! Round Up at the Register is another way your co-op is supporting our local community. Next time you check out, say “I’d like to round up,” and we’ll turn that change into a sturdy check for the non-profit of the month. You can donate more if you like, just tell the cashier to round up to your preferred amount.

Yolo Crisis Nursery

Yolo Crisis Nursery provides safe, trauma-informed care for young children and essential support for families experiencing crisis. Founded in 2001, it offers 24/7 crisis stays, specialized daycare, preschool, and additional services that help families stabilize. Their mission is to nurture healthy, resilient children, strengthen parents, and preserve families through temporary safe care, parenting support, care packages, and connections to community resources.

Purple Tree Cafe

$1,526.46

Purple Tree’s dual mission is to provide community-based, integrated employment opportunities to people with disabilities at competitive wages and to bring people with and without disabilities together through food, art, and music. They fulfill that mission by employing people with disabilities to make, package, and sell vegan and wheat-free baked goods and organic beverages at the Davis Farmers Market on Saturdays, their storefront at the UC Davis MIND Institute, and other community and private events in Davis and Sacramento.

Empower Yolo

Empower Yolo’s mission is to promote safe, healthy, and resilient communities by supporting individuals and families facing crisis and instability. They provide 24-hour crisis intervention, emergency shelter, confidential counseling, legal advocacy, and training for people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse. In addition to crisis services, Empower Yolo operates resource centers that help improve health, social, educational, and economic outcomes, offers community outreach and educational programs, and connects residents to resources that promote stability and self-sufficiency.

Yolo Food Bank

Yolo Food Bank is a vital organization addressing food and nutrition insecurity across Yolo County. They work to ensure everyone in the community has access to healthy, high-quality food by partnering with local farms, retailers, and other organizations. Each month, they provide food to over 30,000 households through 68 partner agencies and their own programs, distributing nearly 10 million lbs. of food annually. Key programs include weekly community food distributions, the culturally tailored Cultivo program for agricultural workers, student farmers markets that provide fresh produce and nutrition education, and grocery deliveries to homebound individuals.
